U-LITS (Uganda Livestock Traceability & Tracking System) is a comprehensive platform regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF). It provides tools for livestock and farm registration, event tracking, and movement permit management to enhance the traceability and management of livestock across Uganda.
To register your farm, visit the U-LITS web portal or mobile app. Create an account, log in, and navigate to the “Register Holding” section.
Fill in the required details about your farm, including location and type, and submit the form. Your farm will be assigned a unique LHC code by MAAIF.
Log into your U-LITS account and access the “Livestock Events” or “Movement Permits” sections. Enter the relevant details such as vaccinations, treatments, or movements.
The system will store and manage this data, making it accessible for future reference and regulatory compliance.
U-LITS offers multiple benefits, including enhanced traceability, theft control, disease monitoring, and compliance with health certification standards.
It also supports breed improvement, performance tracking, and quality product marketing, ultimately contributing to improved livestock productivity and food safety.
